Part 1: Math Engineering

Linear Algebra: Algebra Matrix, System of Linear Equations, Eigenvalues, Eigenvectors.

Calculus: The mean value theorem, integral calculus theorem, definite and imprecise integral evaluation, partial derivatives, maxima and minima, some integral, Fourier series, vector identity, directional derivative, channel integrals, surface integral, integral volume, Stokes theorem, Gauss's theorem, Green's theorem.

First  differential equations (linear and nonlinear), higher order linear differential equations with constant coefficients, Methods of parameter variation, Cauchy equations, Euler equations, initial and boundary value problems, Partial Differential Equations, Variable Separation Methods.

 Complex variables: Analytic functions, Cauchy integral theorems, Cauchy integral formulas, Taylor series, Laurent series, Residue theorem, Solution integrals.

Probability and Statistics: Sampling Theorem, Conditional Probability, Mean, Median, Mode, Standard Deviation, Random Variables, Discrete and Continuous Distribution, Poisson Distribution, Normal Distribution, Binomial Distribution, Correlation Analysis, Regression Analysis.

Numerical Method :Solution of nonlinear algebraic equations, single and multi step methods for differential equations.

Transformation Theory: Fourier Transformation, Laplace Transformation, z-Transform.

Electrical Engineering

Part 2: Electric Circuits

Network analysis, KCL, KVL, Node and Mesh, Transient response of dc and ac network, mosaic sinus state analysis, Resonance, passive filter, ideal current source and voltage, Thevenin theorem, Norton theorem, Superposition theorem, maximum power transfer theorem, ports, three phase circuits, power factor and power in the ac circuit.

Section 3: Electromagnetic fields

Coulomb Law, Electric Field Intensity, Electrical Flux Density, Gaussian Law, Divergence, Electrical Field and Potential due to the distribution of point charge, line, plane and ball charge, Influence of dielectric media, Simple configuration capacitance, Biot law? Savart, Ampere law, Curl, Faraday law, Lorentz style, Inductance, Magnetomotive force, Reluctance, Magnetic circuits, Self and Mutual inductance of simple configuration.

Section 4: Signals and Systems

Representation of continuous and discrete time signals, Shifting and Scaling operations, Invariant System and Causal Linear Time, Fourier series continuous signals of continuous periodic signals, sampling theorems, Fourier transform applications, Laplace transforms and z-transform.

Section 5: Electric Machines

Single phase transformer: equivalent circuit, phasor diagram, open circuit and short circuit test, regulation and efficiency; Three-phase transformer: connection, parallel operation; Automatic transformer, electromechanical energy conversion principle, DC machine: reaction mode, motor, and shunt modes, separating motors and generators, motor characteristics, and mode of operation, characteristics and characteristics, start and speed control of dc motors; Three-phase induction motor: operating principle, type, performance, torque velocity characteristics, loadless and clogged rotor test, equivalent circuit, start and speed control; The operating principle of single-phase induction motor;Synchronous machine: cylinder pole machine and protruding pole, performance, regulation and parallel operation of generator, synchronous motor, characteristics;

 Section 6: Electric Power System

Concepts of power generation, concept of transmission of ac and dc, Model and performance of transmission and cable lines, Series and shunt compensation, electric field distribution and isolator, distribution system, number of units, bus acceptance matrix, GaussSeidel and Newton-Raphson load flow methods, Voltage and Frequency, Power factor correction, symmetrical component, symmetric and non-symmetrical error analysis, Current, differential and remote protection principles; Circuit breaker, System stability concept, same area Criteria.

Section 7: Control Systems

Mathematical modeling and representation of the system, feedback principle, transfer function, block diagram and signal flow graph, transient state analysis and steady state linear invariant system, Routh-Hurwitz and Nyquist criteria, Bode plot, root locus, stability analysis, Lag, Lead Compensator and Lead? Lag; P, PI and PID controllers; Country space model, state transition matrix.

Section 8: Electrical and Electronic Measurements

Bridge and Potentiometer, Measurement of voltage, current, power, energy and power factor; Transformer instrument, Digital voltmeter and Multimeter measurement, Phase, Time and Frequency; Oscilloscope, error analysis

Section 9: Analog and Digital Electronics

Characteristics of diodes, BJT, MOSFETs; Simple diode circuit: clipping, clamp, rectifier; Amplifiers: Biasing, Equivalent circuit and Frequency response; Amplifier Oscillator and Feedback; Operational amplifier: Characteristics and applications; Simple active filter, VCO and Timer, Combinational and Sequential logic circuits, Multiplexer, Demultiplexer, Schmitt trigger, Sample and Grasp circuit, A / D and D / A Converter, 8085Microprocessor: Architecture, Programming and Interfacing.

Section 10: Power Electronics

Characteristics of semiconductor power devices: Diode, Thyristor, Triac, GTO, MOSFET, IGBT; DC to DC conversion: Buck, Boost and Buck-Boost converters; Single and triple rectifier configurations of uncontrolled rectifiers, Commuterated-based thyristor based converters, two-way current converters to dc voltage source converters, Current harmonic current issues, power factor, distortion factor of ac to dc converters, single phase and three-phase inverters, Sinusoidal pulse width modulation.
